I can not think of any finer semi-auto rifle to have in a battery when / if the dung hits the fan & the chips are down. Nor is there a more exciting & enjoyable plinker to blast away with. I truly test fire them with 120 rounds of UMC ammo. Not just because there so fun to shoot, but to ensure they are top notch 100% reliable. When testing a local customers Fn-Fal I personaly fire 100 rounds to do my reliablity / accuracy testing & any last minute tuning. The customer then accompanies me to the range to fire the remaining 20 rounds with me. This insures trust & customer satisfaction. To me hearing the oh-yea! & seeing the pride in ownership is just as satisfying as getting paid for it. There are no half measures here. Your barrel is timed to index at the right spot. (No washers on the barrel tenon to cover up boo-boos.) The locking shoulders are precision machined from oversive stock to ensure perfect headspaceing after the set-back of firing the 1st few rounds. The locking shoulders that come with the parts kits may or may not work. I have yet to find one that works with a new receiver. Tolerance stacking from receiver to receiver & manufacturer to manufacturer is alive & well during the age of seemingly perfection in machine methods. Also there is the fact that the barrel has to be timed to the new receiver. This operation sets the barrel back ever so slightly in the receiver, so the headspace is unknown till I get it timed right & gauge it with the precision dia. pin gauges & a go / nogo gauge. Houser's Gunsmithing WILL treat your Fn-Fal investment as if it is the only firearm you will ever want to own. My goal is customer satisfaction, Trust & Your pride in ownership.

The assualt Weapons Ban is gone. There are no Federal laws prohibiting the manufacture or possession of semiautomatic firearms with flash suppressors, bayonet mounts, grenade launchers, folding stocks, pistols over a certain weight, or firearms or magazines marked with "Restricted / LE only" or "export only". However, State & Local prohibitions may still apply. (Check with your Chief Law Enforcement Officer in you area for any details concerning this.) The 1989 import ban requiring " No more than 10" imported parts from the A.T.F.E.'s list of 20 "EVIL" parts remains in effect. Out of the 20 "EVIL" parts the Fn-Fal has only 17 parts affected by the law. To put it into prospective: You can only use 10 of these listed parts out of you parts kit. The remaining 7 parts HAVE to be U.S. made. The parts I reccomend, but in no way limited to are as follows. Muzzle brake, gas piston, pistol grip, trigger, hammer, sear, buttstock, & to be safe: handguard. That makes a total of 8 parts. This will keep you compliant with Federal law.
